About the studio

A small studio, built around one specific gap.

OrbitsNova started from a simple observation: the volume of usable Earth observation and tracking data available today is enormous, and the number of teams who can actually turn it into an answer is still small. We built a studio to sit in that gap.

A satellite pass is only useful once someone turns it into an answer you can act on.

That's the whole model. We're small on purpose, so every engagement gets analysts who understand both the data and the problem it's meant to solve — not just a dashboard with someone else's imagery pasted into it.

ORBIT-01ORIGIN

Started as independent analysis work

A small group of remote sensing analysts and orbital dynamics engineers in Sofia, doing independent contract analysis for agriculture, insurance, and satellite operator clients.

ORBIT-02FORMATION

Became a studio on purpose

The independent work formalized into OrbitsNova, with defined solution areas, a structured engagement process, and a small studio space in Sofia.

ORBIT-03TODAY

A deliberately small roster

We still take on a limited number of engagements at a time. The studio grows in analytical depth, not headcount for its own sake.

What we hold ourselves to

A short list of things we actually mean.

01

Honest feasibility

We tell clients when satellite data genuinely can't answer their question — before the engagement starts, not after.

02

Source-agnostic

We're not tied to a single satellite data provider, so our recommendations aren't shaped by a reseller agreement.

03

Plain-language handoff

Every technical deliverable ships with a summary your non-technical stakeholders can actually use.

04

Fixed scope, fixed date

Engagements have a defined scope and delivery date before work starts — no open-ended data-exploration retainers.

05

Direct analyst access

You work with the people processing your data, not a relayed summary from an account layer.

06

Validated against ground truth

Wherever possible, we validate our results against real ground-truth data before handing them over.

Who's behind the analysis

A small, fixed core team — supplemented project by project with specialists and data partners.

EARTH OBSERVATION

Dr. Elitsa M.

Leads Earth observation analytics and imagery processing. Background in remote sensing research before co-founding the studio.

ORBITAL SYSTEMS

Ivailo G.

Leads orbital tracking and space situational awareness work, including conjunction analysis and orbit determination.

DATA PLATFORM

Simona K.

Leads platform engineering — APIs, dashboards, and data pipeline architecture.

MISSION ADVISORY

Plamen R.

Leads mission advisory and ground segment consulting engagements for satellite operators.

DATA NETWORK

Extended partners

A network of satellite data providers, ground station operators, and academic collaborators brought onto engagements that need extra depth.

THE STUDIO

Sofia, Bulgaria

A small studio space in Sofia, used for client sessions and day-to-day analysis work.

Q3 2026 — 4 engagements open

If you'd rather have an honest read of the data than a sales pitch, say hello.

We read every message ourselves — there's no business development layer between you and the analysts.
